Just a little update

February 18, 2008 at 4:36 pm (Uncategorized)

I have once again survived Valentine’s Day and the carnage wasn’t as bad as I had been expecting. Good thing my diet doesn’t officially start until March first though or that could’ve been ugly. It was no heart shaped chocolates for me, nope instead I went directly to the easter chocolates you know those yummy cadbury chocolate eggs. I normally prefer dark chocolate or whatnot but those eggs are damn good. I better stop now before I write and dedicate poetry to them.

On the writing front I haven’t sent my edits in yet I know I am bad but I am still figuring out one little detail and then I will be done for now. Onto more writing stuff I have to admit I haven’t done much lately been too busy falling into the pit of despair that seems to open beneath my feet every February like clock work. So with that fond statement I will go and do some work practice for sweat if you may 1000 words or I shall feast in hell tonight.

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner and Easter barely a month after that I can’t help but wonder where the time has gone. There was som much I wanted to do, get started or finished and yet I am nowhere near close to what I wanted. *Sigh.* Anyway for some updates I am just about finished my first edits and should have them sent off by the weekend or Saturday at the latest.

Now onto something new yet not so new the next round of Seventy Days of Sweat will be starting on March 1 and run to May 1. I had a good go at the last one but the last month or so was a downer for me. Got sick, got the dreaded winter blahs and a root canal – yup no fun at all. But hopefully it will all work out this time it is crunch time, do or die and I am not ready to die as of yet.

I don’t care much for Valentine’s Day perhaps the title of this post was a give away. I admit it would probably be different if I was dating or something. Instead I got my Gary Oldman movies and my cat to keep me company as I fight the temptation to drown my sorrows in a load of chocolates in every shape and form (those Cadbury mini eggs are evil I tell you). Oh well maybe next year, something I have been telling myself since I was twenty and pulling the movies off the shelf ready for a marathon viewing. I can’t help but wonder what other people do on Valentine’s Day and if they dare say snuggle their sweetheart and make mad passionate love I will scream.
