Waiting is the hardest part

July 25, 2007 at 8:10 pm (Uncategorized)

Sorry no Gary Oldman today, I think that is a subject better left alone or at least until I figure out how to do the Thursday 13 thing properly. Hmm, then that will definitely be warning on that one. instead I am complaining or whining or whatever you want to call it – I hate waiting!!! Yes, with years in and out of hospitals you would think I had the patience of a saint but allow me to debunk that notion for you right now. I have more patience than some I will admit but I have a load on my mind at the moment and patience is very low on my list.

So what am I doing while I wait to hear back about my book propsal hmm well I have been doing a bit of reading. I read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows in like four hours in the wee hours of Saturday morning. She answered most the questions for me except for one big one and I won’t bother posting it here for those who haven’t read the book. Did I mention that I hate spoilers? They are wrong and you will never find any here that is a promise. Then I read the Dark Garden by Eden Bradly if you haven’t read it then you really should I loved it. Ms. Bradly has style. I can’t wait until her next book, The Darker side of Pleasure which won’t be out until October. More waiting noooo too cruel. If I make it to the romantic times convention next year I will bring my book for her to sign (if she is there). Mind you by the time it will have frayed corners from reading it too much but that is all good.

Ok, now back to attempting to get some writing done when all I really want to do is take a little nap due to all the heat.

The Movie to watch right now is OOTP

July 16, 2007 at 8:17 pm (Uncategorized)

Or more commonly known as Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I watched this movie the very day it came out waiting somewhat patiently in long lines just to get in which really wasn’t much of a problem since I bought my tickets almost two weeks in advance. Why go to such extremes for a movie you may be wondering even though I didn’t mention that the line up went around the building outside. Welll, first Gary Oldman is in it and everyone who knows me knows that he is my muse. Hey he is the best of both worlds for me he is older and a Brit (and as my sister likes to say also a tooth pick but I find that too crude) and over all completely male. Second – who doesn’t like Harry Potter in my opinion the stories are quite orignial and for me that is a good thing you can only watch so many blow them up and shoot them movies before you grow completely and utterly disgusted with Hollywood.

Three – It is a who’s who of British talent seriously if you stay for the credits or have watched the five previous Potter films you will recognize many names. I can go on but sadly I got laundry to do (laundry is ok – hanging it up to dry is the pits though). Tomorrow I will post the virtures of Gary Oldman – hmmm, perhaps not the virtures since my writing tends to be on the more sensual side but you get the idea.

What Next?

July 7, 2007 at 7:07 pm (Uncategorized)

Hardly got any writing done in the past two days why? Because I like making myself miserable seriously I don’t go looking for problems but they sure do seem to like to find me. Besides having to change my name because it was illegally changed and changing all my id *I have no clue what this is going to do to my passport?* Attempting to work and finding out the hard way that it just ain’t going to happen. My surgeon said that my chances of working were pretty slim but I had to give it a try anyway – right? I suppose the good side of that is I get to focus on my writing 24/7 now which some people would kill for I know but it was kind of a downer realizing that I was able to do another normal activity of life.

So I am going to make writing my career *even though I haven’t sold anything – yet*. A few people have said that I should’ve done this is the first place instead of wasting time in trying to work, and I will be a lady and not grind my teeth but I guess they were kind of right. But hey I am still young and there is nothing with wasting a little time if you were trying to do something productive. Or at least I like to think so.

Pick a card, Any Card

July 6, 2007 at 2:12 am (Uncategorized)

I have once again decided to attempt a new project as if I don’t have enough on the go. But this time it is serious I have about 400 more words to go and then i am submitting the popsal to Cobblestone. It took me awhile to decide on which project I wanted to go for but I am more than satisfied with the one I decided upon. Have no idea what I am talking about? Well, Cobblestone is looking for stories for their upcoming vampire tarot series and it looks sooo good. I would really to get into that one I even put editing Aroused and Cursed on hold to do this.

I went through a massive vampire stage when I was fourteen – moody, wore mostly black and read and wrote about the blood sucking creatures. To this day I still enjoy a good vampire story they are a classic element of paranormal romance that will never go out of style.
